Enjoying an absolutely fantastic season, their consistent brilliance has been terrific to see, as they’ve excelled at both ends of the pitch.

Possessing the third best offensive record in the league and the fourth best defensive record, this has illustrated what a tough side they are to come up against.

With the outstanding Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal and a solid back four in front of him that has largely consisted of Theo Hernandez, Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli, they’ve been a tough nut for foes to crack.

Then, in midfield, all-action Franck Kessie and multifaceted Ismael Bennacer are first choice. But seeing as they’ve missed some action due to injury, the likes of Sandro Tonali, Rade Krunic and even Davide Calabria like against Juventus have filled in admirably.

Upfront Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been a standout with 10 goals, as his power, skill, physicality, movement and finishing have wreaked havoc for defences all over. Then in the attacking midfield line, a combination of Hakan Calhanoglu, Rafael Leao, Ante Rebic, Brahim Diaz, Alexis Saelemaekers, Jens Petter Hauge and Samu Castillejo have all proven their class at various stages.

Special mention must go to Hernandez’s offensive contribution from left back, for his marauding runs add width and depth to attacks while constantly destabilising backlines. Chipping in with four goals and three assists, he’s unquestionably one of the elite left backs in Europe alongside Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson.

With Ibrahimovic missing in recent weeks, it’s been admirable how they’ve coped without him and still maintained their high level.

Firing on all cylinders and leading the standings, the chasing pack of Inter Milan, AS Roma, Juventus, Sassuolo, Atalanta and Napoli will have their work cut out chasing the Rossoneri.

In what’s set to be the most exciting title race in years, it’ll be intriguing to follow Milan’s progress, as they are desperate to win their first Scudetto since 2011.
