With their meticulous coach Antonio Conte eventually deciding to remain for the 2020/2021 crusade, Inter set their sights on strengthening their already excellent squad. And that’s exactly what they’ve done. Bringing in the likes of Achraf Hakimi, Arturo Vidal and Aleksandar Kolarov, which has been supplemented by the likes of Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic returning from loans, they have vital experience and depth at their disposal.

The fact they managed to keep hold of electric attacker Lautaro Martinez, who’s formed an exceptional partnership up front with Romelu Lukaku and also Alexis Sanchez at times, was vital.

Then, in midfield, they are blessed with great numbers and class, with names such as Nicolo Barella, Christian Eriksen, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Vidal and the injured Matias Vecino all vying for spots. Securing Hakimi from Real Madrid was a fantastic signing to accompany the likes of Perisic, Dalbert and Ashley Young in the wingback slots.

Defensively, they’re not short of options either, for Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Kolarov are all smart operators while Samir Handanovic is reliable in goal.

Considering Juventus will probably have some issues adjusting to rookie coach Andrea Pirlo’s methods, this should mean they’ll be right up there challenging for the title. Priced at 2.80 in the odds, they’re second favourites behind Juventus, who are at 2.40, to go all the way.

Possessing quite possibly the best squad in the league and coached by masterful tactician Conte, the Nerazzurri won’t get many better chances to take home the Serie A crown than this season.

Only time will tell if they, in fact, can.
