Needing only a draw to progress, Man Utd quickly found themselves 2-0 down inside 14 minutes with strikes from Angelino and Amadou Haidara giving Leipzig a dream start. Justin Kluivert then added a third on 69 minutes to extend the Germans’ lead to 3-0.

Needing a response to have any chance of qualifying for the Round of 16, star man Paul Pogba was introduced. But ultimately it wasn’t enough as the Red Devils lost 3-2, meaning they have to settle for third in the group and Europa League football.
